Astrologer and Yogi Sri. K.K Janardhanakurup
K.K Janardhnakurup was born in 1948. Astrology is his family tradition. Sri. Machatt Parameswarakurup, Sri. Edamuttam Madhavapanikker are his gurus. He has published 40 books on astrology, 26 books on kundalini yoga and 6 books on other subjects. He has also written a historical book named ‘Purathana Bharatham B.C 15000- A.D 500’ .
He is the Reiki Master. Sri. Valappad Haridas is his deekshaguru. Published the book ‘Thanthrik reiki’ in 2008. He got deeksha and practice from yogacharya Chendamangalam Sri. Subramanian, who is the disciple of kundalini yoga thathvajnani Vedathiri Maharshi. Later he learned more about Tamil Siddha yoga. In Kriyababaji’s Kriya yoga, yogi sanyasi Krishnanandagiri is his deeksha guru.
In the year 1994 the family paradevatha temple- Kizhuthany kalari- was reestablished. In 2009 it was renovated again. In 1995 astrological trust named Girijakumaran Astrological Research Foundation and in 2007 Institute for Holistic Yoga was established. In 2001 astrology-yoga quarterly magazine named ‘Ksheerapadham’ was published. So far 78 volumes have been published.He has prepared and published, authoritative and practical vyakhyanas for Yoga kundalinyupanishath, Yoga choodamanyupanishath, Shivasamhitha.
In 2008 he went on a pilgrimage to Vrindavan, Haridwar, Hrishikesh, Kedarnath, Badarinath and Himalayas. He did Kailash parikraman in 2010. According to the dream, while at Dirapuk, Kailash, he did darshans at Palani, Madhura, Kumbhakonam and Chidambaram temples. several Siddha ashrams and samadhis were visited by him. He was blessed to visit siddha ashrams in Chathuragiri, especially mahasiddhar Gorak Nathar’s cave and to receive ‘gorakar moolika’ ( one of the ingredient to make Gorak Nathar’s Kayakalpayoga moolika). Maha siddhar Bhoga Nathar’s Njnanasoothram, Shivayoganjnana, Jnanapooja vidhi, Meyjnanabodham, maha siddhar Thirumoolar dhyanam 20, mahasiddhar Gorakar Nathar’s Brahmajnana rahasyam, Manthrajapam, Bhogar, Moolar, Chattaimuni etc samadhi grandha’s were translated into malayalam. He attained Sri Chidambara Shivathandavaypga siddhi.
Career and Family
Sri K.K Janardhanakurup is a retired engineer from Kerala State Electricity Board. He has done many modern art paintings and displayed his paintings at Lalitha Kala Academy and acheived many awards.
Wife – Nenmara Vallangi Kondath Malathy Amma. Children- Dileepkumar, Deepa and Divya, Daughter in law- Megha. Son In laws- Krishnadas, Anilkumar.
